Why do I need a noise dosimeter?
Because a personal noise dosimeter is the most accurate method for measuring an
employee's
noise exposures. The employee wears the noise dosimeter during a workshift
and it measures noise levels at all the locations the employee visits.
What does a noise dosimeter do?
The noise dosimeter integrates an employee's exposure to "Sound
Over Time" and calculates a number of values including "Noise Dose". The
noise dosimeter's dosage value is then used to determine if the employee needs to enroll in a
hearing conservation program.
